Monthly club meetings are held on the third Monday of every month. Starting in February, we are now meeting at Fuddruckers at 6607 I-35 Frontage Road NB, between 290 and St. Johns behind the Chili's and Pappasito's. Eat, meet and greet starting at 7:00pm; meeting business starts at 7:30pm. Hope you'll join us there!!

We need to get a head count of people interested in this trip so I can call the brewery and let them know how many are going. Please make your decision by April 30. this year, the Houston club may or may not be joining us because they already have a Shiner run later this year. San Antonio is also busy, so it's just us this time.

Join the Tejas Miatas on may 3rd for our annual trip to shiner Texas to tour the Spoetzel brewery and help with a great cause. We will being visiting the brewery on the same day as the shiner GASP. The GASP is the Great Austin Shiner Pedal, a bike race that benefits Lance Armstrong Foundation. We will not be in the race but will be meeting up with the bikers at the end, where there will be food, live music, and of course, free Shiner. Entry into the GASP reception was $20 last year, but bring a little more just in case they raise the fee. Besides contributing to a great cause, this trip is also a way for the other Miata clubs to meet at the same place because Shiner is midway between Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.

Starting point will be I-35 and Wm.Cannon in the HEB parking lot facing William Cannon.

We have been invited to drive up to Hiley Mazda in Arlington for a Miata meet up event. Hiley has already done this for their VW dealership and had a great turnout, even larger than they expected with owners coming from out of state as well. They had only planned to run the VW event from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm but so many people came that they extended it until 6:00 but it still kept going until they closed.

They are providing catered food, a display area for our cars so we can meet other owners and show off our cars and they will allow us to test drive other Mazda vehicles.

I think this would be fun and a great way to meet some of the Dallas and other Miata owners who we don't normally get to see down here.

The event starts at 11:00 am, Saturday May 17th and goes through until 9:00 pm. I would be willing to lead a caravan up there if we have enough interest so let me know if you would like to go with me.
